Do you struggle with this one key factor? If so, I want you to tell me ONE thing you will implement to change this habit so you can increase your social media results.

The One Key Factor for Social Media Marketing Success

I’ve been in the social media biz long enough to know what works and what doesn’t work. I have had my fair share of successes as well as failures.

In this video, I share with you the one key social media factor I have found that, above and beyond anything else, absolutely will help you become successful.

Now, I don’t just go around spilling my top industry secrets to just anyone, but for you I will make an exception. Are you ready for it?

It’s consistency.

Did I just see you cringe a little bit? Maybe whine about how difficult it is to remain consistent in your business?

Trust me, I get it.

Consistency takes time, it takes effort, but it is the one thing that will truly pay off in the long run. Let me explain.

I have always said, “The one that is consistent is the one that wins.” I say that because it’s true. When you are consistent you remain relevant. You are first and foremost in the minds of your tribe members and that is exactly where you want to be.

Now when I say “consistent” what exactly do I mean?

Watch below:

First, you want to make sure that you are consistent in your brand messaging across all of your social media platforms. This includes logos, brand names, catchphrases, coloring…everything.

Keep all of these aspects the same across all of your channels so people can find you and identify you easily. Treat yourself like you are a big, huge brand on social media and you will become one.

Next, you need to be posting consistently on social media. That means finding a system that works best for you and holding yourself accountable to sticking to it. My rule of thumb is to post AT LEAST once a day on every platform you are working with.

If you are only using Facebook at the moment, that’s fine, but you had better be posting at least once a day.

Something that has worked well for me in the past is sitting down and planning what content I want to post for the week and when I want to post it, and then going through and scheduling it all at once so it’s done and I can forget about it. You may want to consider this system if you think it will work well for you.

Lastly, you should remain consistent in the type of content you are posting. My followers know exactly what to expect when they see me on social media. I love inspiring content, helpful hints or tips, or content that gives an uplifting message with just a touch of humor.

Rule of thumb: post content that is 90% value and 10% marketing and promotions.

I love the message in Gary Vaynerchuk’s book “Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook.” His theory is that each jab equals a “give”; you providing valuable information that helps or inspires followers in some way.

Each “right hook” equals a promotional offer or a request for a sale. This strategy builds trust with your tribe while giving them quality information that will help them reach their goals. I love the balance this strategy brings to business!

As always, stay awesome!
