Something that I have noticed through my extensive work with women entrepreneurs is that many of them lack the courage and the confidence to put themselves out there online. I have to say, I have totally been there. I understand how you feel and that is why I wanted to share my tips on what worked for me. These tips are what have helped me become an online badass…I no longer give a hoot about what people are going to think about me. I just put myself out there and let the universe take care of the rest.
Being courageous and confident online is a mindset. You have to practice this mindset every day. You have to instill it in yourself and then fulfill your highest potential every single day. I feel as if I am doing a disservice to others and that I am not fulfilling my God-given purpose for being on this planet if I am not putting myself out there and being courageous.
I look at it this way; rather than being afraid of what others are going to say if I am courageous, I think about how I would be letting myself down if I’m not courageous. I am more afraid of letting myself and others down and not living up to my full potential than I could ever be of what others think of me.
You see, what happens when you push yourself is that you change. Change can only happen when you push yourself beyond your comfort zone…and you need to be courageous and confident to do that.
What needs to happen here is that the fear of you not putting yourself out there and not sharing your message with the world needs to become greater than your fear of what others may think or say of you if you mess something up or someone thinks you look or sound stupid. In the grand scheme of things what is that one person’s opinion in comparison to the thousands of people who need to hear your message? Why do you need to share your message? Because you matter! What you have matters!
We are a special breed of leaders who are on purpose because the reality of it is, most people are too scared to get out there and do the work that makes them successful. They are just getting by in life; they settle…and that’s not you. You were born to be a leader and you need to be courageous.
So when you’re feeling down and you need a little kick in the pants, know that I am here for you! I’ve got your back because you know what, I’ve been there. I know how it feels. I know what you’re going through. I also know how amazing it feels when you are on the other side of your fear…how amazing it feels to do something that scared you so much.
This is your permission to be courageous. This is your permission to be bold. This is your permission to get out there and not have it be perfect. Because with every mistake you make, you come one step closer to success. Even the best, most successful entrepreneurs out there have at least one epic failure story under their belt. That’s because it’s all part of the journey.
So if you’re holding yourself back out of fear, take a moment to consider how it would feel to live with the fear of living your whole life wondering, “What if….”
Don’t live a “What if…” life.
