Do Facebook’s Promoted Posts Really Work?

Today I want to give you the dish on Facebook’s promoted posts. I know that Facebook has been causing a lot of frustrations for many of us businesses owners. They seem to be doing a lot of tweaks and changes consistently. Some are awesome and some just plan suck. Once of these is features is their promoted posts they launched a couple months back and I’ve had the opportunity to test them out a bit…so today I’m going to share with you my personal case study and opinion on if promoted posts are worth your time and money.

First of all, if you’re not sure what promoted posts are, I explain how to create them in the video below. You’ll have a few options for them (your flat rate budget, target audience, etc.) Watch the video as I explain how to set them up and also how they’ve worked for me in my business.

So as you can see, promoted posts unfortunately are not that great, in my option. Unless, of course, your target audience is in Turkey! haha

Based upon this case study, as well as feedback I’ve heard from others, Facebook posts are simply not worth it.

I took my frustration and submitted a nice and direct message to Facebook expressing this situation and outcome. Like I’ll hear back? Oh well, perhaps someone in Facebook land will respond.

If you’re looking to do ads on Facebook to grow your audience my suggestion would be to explore sponsored ads. These ads allow you to define your target audience and target your specific demographic.
