Welcome! I’m Devani Freeman. I LOVE marketing! I teach local businesses in the Seattle and Eastside area as well as women all over the world on how to grow their business using social media and online marketing. The thing is, consumers are using these tools EVERY single day to seek out information and opinions about products and services. It’s easy to throw up a website, but it’s another thing to get people to visit your website and buy what you have to offer. That’s where I come in! I help you to find your voice online and get heard the right way through strategies with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, blogging, email marketing and much more.
Quick story on how I got started:
My passion for marketing started years ago when I got my foot in the door at a large marketing firm in the Seattle area. I quickly made it to the top of the company for sales and client retention. I never had any previous experience, seriously! I was just real with people. I was genuinely interested in learning their business model and then finding solutions on how it can grow. Marketing and sales was great but I started to fall out of love with the negative corporate environment. I knew that I didn’t want to go to the top of the company and be a corporate drone. Sure you make great money, but everything we did was just about numbers. No one REALLY cared if they were making an impact and I knew, I just KNEW, I had a bigger calling.
That’s when I decided to take on a new focus and I launched my own home-based business. Something I could build part time while I worked my job. Everything was great but my friends & family started to get annoyed with me consistently approaching them about my multi-leval marketing products. I needed to open up my network and reach out to new people. That’s when I turned to social media. But I started out doing it ALL wrong and I was actually pushing people away. A few weeks later I came across a group of entrepreneurs that were killing it online. They were marketing their business in a way that educated and added value to target potential consumers and business partners. I spent ALL of my extra time in learning this new way to market, what I now refer to as Modern Marketing. I built up an amazing tribe, started generating leads and creating extra income with affiliate marketing. The more I started to learn though, the more I stopped believing in what I was selling at my job. My productivity hit the bottom and I made myself miserable because I couldn’t sell a product and service that I didn’t fully believe in. I knew I HAD to get out fast.
I took the big leap and left the company and started at another more innovative firm. Let me tell you, the grass is never greener on the other side! Again, I didn’t believe in the product 100%. The company was young and the structure and systems were lacking. I knew I had to start my own company. I wanted to help other business owners and entrepreneurs to understand this new way of marketing authentically and how to grow a tribe of people that love and support your brand. Soon after my company was formed and I officially declared I was no longer employable!!
This journey has been incredible and I am so grateful for the amazing and talented entrepreneurs that I attract and get to work with. Never let your mind limit your dreams and never settle if your unhappy! Life is too short.
